"Once a man tastes freedom, he doesn’t put the chains back on willingly."
In 2028, a working-class family of four struggles to survive after an economic collapse cripples our nation. Hopelessness, hunger and fear grips ordinary Americans, as an increasingly totalitarian government uses biometric surveillance and brutal enforcement to retain power and crush dissent.
The family’s small act of civil disobedience quickly evolves into a terrifying and violent encounter with federal agents, forcing them to leave everything behind and run for their lives. Desperately trying to evade the technology of tyranny, they are sheltered by compassionate strangers who are willing to risk everything to help them.
When their paths cross with a group of revolutionary computer hackers, they unknowingly become the catalyst for a long-simmering insurgency, which holds their fate…and the fate of America…in the balance.
The Cassandra Trigger Adrian Wyllie Books
I was interested in this book for the dystopian theme but found it much different from other stories or movies in that genre. Although it's set several years in the future, it is a realistic futures that's not far fetched or hard to imagine. We can recognize some of this today where daily life is increasingly regulated by the government, police are becoming more militarized, and even administrative agencies like EPA and FDA have SWAT teams to enforce minor infractions of their regulations. The author describes an America that could happen 20 years or so from now.Aside from the dystopian theme, I liked how the book stuck to the main storyline without leading the leader down a lot of subplots that went nowhere. The characters were described in a way where you felt like you already knew them and understood the tough choices they had to make. I was surprised how fast I breezed through the book and look forward to any sequels or other books by this author.

The Cassandra Trigger Adrian Wyllie Books Reviews
. . . Because if so, I'm buying it. A plausible dystopian scenario, with rounded characters & excellent scene setting. Consistency in the era, sympathetic character interaction, a central theme of inherent goodness and bedrock patriotism - all combine to present an enjoyable read.
From the literary point of view the book is well written and keeps a great pace. From the story side, this is quite possible the scariest book of my life. It is so scary because it may very well become true. We can not be complacent, we must stay alert.
I haven't read a book since my daughter was born 18mo ago - just couldn't find the time. I MADE the time after reading the first chapter of this book. (It still took me a few days due to mommyhood). There is no fluff or empty rhetoric, it is a well written, smart and gripping. It won't take you long to read, you probably won't easily put it down. I look forward to future works of Adrian Wyllie!
I'm not the person to 5 star every item that shows up in the mail and definitely not when it comes to books. I planned to throw this book on the shelf when it arrived on Tuesday until I finished some other reads I was in the middle of, but I decided to glance through it quickly before doing so. Long story short I finished it Wednesday night because I absolutely could not put it down. It's one of those books that after you start, it's all you can think about until you finish, and then even afterwards it just sticks with you. The layout is perfect, there are no duldruns, it is constant intriguing, edge of your seat excitement that will have you trying to get all of your friends to read it so you can talk about it with them. It's like the walking dead of books. Thank you Mr Wyllie for the wonderful experience and I hope you write more like it.
Upon a recommendation from a friend I purchased this book. I normally read only non fiction but was swayed by his praise to switch gears. Glad I did. For people who feel government makes an excellent antagonist, you will love the story.
The wording is fluid, easily enjoyable and was compelling. I stayed up well past my bedtime to finish reading it. A must read if you are a libertarian or anyone that loves a good story.
Pull the trigger and buy the book.
The book certainly reveals what is likely to become of the US. Much of the control and spying already exists. If Hillary had been elected, everything in the book would have come to pass much quicker (except anyone having the ability to avoid it). President Trump may put a stop to much of it and keep it from progressing. However, it's probably too late to keep the US economy from imploding.
Regarding my rating of 4 stars The book was well written except for some errors in grammar and punctuation, so I deducted one star for those. And except for the realism of the subject matter, I would have given the book a 1 (or fewer) and would not have read it at all because of the CLIFFHANGER ENDING! It is dishonest not to mention the CLIFFHANGER ENDING in the book's description.
A REAL EYE OPENER
I recently purchased on a book the Cassandra Trigger written by former Libertarian Candidate for Florida Governor Adrian Wyllie . and while this book is fiction it shows the direction our country is moving to ,for me one big issue is gun buyback .every time we line up to sell our guns away for a few dollars we're giving away one more bit of our freedom . this book is about a father trying to protect his family from the very ones who are suppose to be protecting us. if you want a real look into where our future is moving to, this book is a must reed. for $16.95 and a few hrs. of your time you can help change the future. this book is a real eye opener
